MIGA Friends
MIGA friends are everyone who contribute in their own way to Kaili and Raul's experiment to pack up their lives and move into a 36 m² space, where daily life and art merge and with doors occasionally opening to the public. The house is located in Tartu, Lubja Street and so-called Micro-Venice. Formerly a Soviet-era garage complex Lubja Street is slowly evolving into a small creative community. If all goes smoothly, MIGA will be ready in May 2026.
MIGA SKETCH:
MIGA BUDGET:
MIGA's full development fund is €72 464 (grid connection €6 564, construction of the tiny house €65 900). The majority of the funding is secured, but €17 869 is still needed for MIGA to be completed and able to open its doors to the public.
Note: The chart below is updated weekly.
How we've funded MIGA's development so far:
Raul's retirement fund – €18 152
Kaili and Raul's art collection sales – €8 498
Maikro artwork sales – €10 545
Private donations – €2 400
Personal contribution – €15 000
Total: € 54 595
Remaining: €17 869
The funds raised will be used to connect the building to the power grid, lay the foundation, raise the walls, and complete the roof. The remaining funds will allow us to finish the interior work and install the heating system.
MIGA SKETCH:
- The ground floor features a compact kitchen, a bathoom and a flexible mobile workplace. The bathroom also includes a single-person sauna. When needed, the kitchen window can open onto the street, creating a cozy home café during community events.
- The second floor features a versatile living area that can be transformed into a bedroom as needed. The open two-level design also makes it possible to host small apartment exhibitions, allowing visitors to wander freely thoughout the house.
- A few solar panels are planned for the rooftop terrace (fitted with a safety railing) to make the building as energy-efficient and self-sufficient as possible.
